Based near Knutsford in Cheshire, this farm specialises in rare and traditional breeds with a focus on real taste, traceability, freshness and quality. Why not pop into the farm shop and see for yourself?
Richard Woodall
From Waberthwaite in the Lakeland Fells, this is one of the oldest family businesses still in existence and is currently run by 7th and 8th generation family members. The company is renowned for its much acclaimed, traditionally cured hams, bacon and sausage (and they also supply to the Queen).
Abbey Ley Farm
A soil association certified, family farm producing organic eggs and potatoes. You can find their produce at Farmer’s Markets all over the region or visit them at their farm shop in High Legh.

This site is a gateway to some of the finest food producers, shops, farm shops, delis and restaurants in the North West.
Thornby Moor Dairy
Award winning dairy at Crofton Hall in Cumbria. Their milk is sourced from single herds from a handful of farms in the region. Around nine different cheeses are produced, ranging from soft goats cheese to mature hard cheeses.
